Brisons Veor residency and This weekend…? project in Cornwall

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

In the last week of September myself and 3 other artists (aka Continental Breakfast): Amelie Scalercio (Australia), Lynette Bester (South Africa) and Marie Snauwaert (Belgium) were artists-in-residence at Brisons Veor Trust seaside cottage, near St Just on the west coast of Cornwall.

The result of our collaboration was a performative installation involving the public presented as part of This weekend…? – a series temporary site-specific public art events commissioned by BOSarts and curated by Ruth Goodning and Veronica Vickery. More info on the project’s website.

Summer in the Caucasus

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Together with sound artist Martin Clarke I’m participating in two artist residencies in the Caucasus this summer: at Art and Cultural Studies Laboratory in Yerevan, Armenia and Art Villa Garikula in Garikula, Georgia. We will spend over five weeks in the region making collaborative work in response to the locality and researching the local arts scene. The trip is supported by the ‘STEP Beyond’ mobility fund of the European Cultural Foundation and Artquest. Keep updated about our Caucasian adventures on our residency blog.
